Divers Association held their annual event aboard the Catalina Yacht on 5/13/2012 in Ft.Lauderdale FL.  They hold this event every year to honor and commemorate divers past and present for all their hard work and dedication.  I was set up on the upper deck and the first deck was set up for dinner.  There were approximately 200 guests aboard the Catalina and they were all ready to have fun. Before dinner there were a few awards handed out and very special speech from one of the more veteran divers.  After dinner the upper deck dance floor filled up and they didn't stop until we docked.  Linda and Anne who were in charge of the cruise did not provide a song list but did warn me that this group was energetic and up-beat.  They did not disappoint!! The highlights of the evening were dancing to the group dances.  They knew them all.  The Macarena, The Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cotton Eyed Joe and The Cupid Shuffle.  I want to congratulate the Dive Team for their future success!! DJ Ray http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-17/Corporate_Event_Aboard_the_Catalina_Yacht.aspx eddieb http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-17/Corporate_Event_Aboard_the_Catalina_Yacht.aspx f48cfc5a-8546-4bad-992a-1f4b15efd194 Thu, 17 May 2012 13:04:46 GMT Wedding and Reception at the Historic Bonnet House On Saturday May 12th, 2012, a small gathering of very close friends and family members at the Bonnet House is where Scott and Heather celebrated their wedding. After salads and dinner I presented the father/daughter dance and groom/mother dance to, You Are So Beautiful To Me and Over The Rainbow. Their friends loved to drink and listen to music they can sing along to, such as Red Solo Cup, Friends In Low Places, Don't Stop Believing and many others. Towards the end of the evening the party danced to top 40. Party Rock Anthem, Pitbull and David Guetta to name a few. Lauderdale Hello blog readers!DJ Gregg here to tell you about the great time I had on Saturday hosting a block party.Knoll Ridge is a great little neighborhood situated on the east side of Ft. Lauderdale.I was asked to set up at the end of the street facing towards everyone. It was a great mix of people and about 200 people attended throughout the day. All of the residents were asked to bring a dish for the pot luck dinner. Tables were lined up and down the street. They had bounce houses for the kids, a balloon artist and face painting. My job was to keep the mood fun and lively. I played music from all genres and generations. It was a great opportunity for the residents to meet their fellow neighbors. One of the residents even brought his classic cars to display! A 1932 chevy and a 1935 chevy. They were set up just behind me. There was a lot of interest in them.Very cool!It was a great day, with great weather, and an opportunity to meet their great neighbors.I enjoyed itTill next time.....DJ GREGG http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-15/Block_Party_in_the_Knoll_Ridge_Neigborhood_Ft_Lauderdale.aspx eddieb http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-15/Block_Party_in_the_Knoll_Ridge_Neigborhood_Ft_Lauderdale.aspx 98e8ecb8-774e-4262-8601-e08d36e152a8 Tue, 15 May 2012 09:58:00 GMT Wedding Reception at the Long Key Nature Center On 5/12/12 Carl & Jazmin Letamendi had their ceremony & reception at the Long Key Nature Center in Davie.I provided entertainment for the reception playing lounge music as guests & family entered the banquet hall. The evening started with a ceremony on the terrace overlooking the ocean. I provided a PA system for the officiant and music was provided by a harpist. The cocktail reception was also outside on the terrace and music was provided by Eddie B & Company and steel drummer Brian Henry. Then we invited all the guests inside to the Crystal Terrace room and the party started. The room looked great with Cyan Blue up lighting and a name monogram scrolled across the dance floor, D & M, in a script! I introduced the bridal party to "I Gotta A Feeling" and the newlyweds to "Breathing" by Jason Derulo. Danielle and Michael chose "So Close" by Jon McLaughlin for their first dance. After a welcome, a blessing, and 2 toasts, Danielle danced with her father to "Daughters" by John Mayer, and surprised her mother with a dedication, "Because You Loved Me'. Then Michael danced with his sister Rosemary to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. After dinner was over, 100 friends and family members started the party by joining Danieel and Michael on the dance floor to a variety of tunes from the 60's to the present day. This was a real fun easy going group of festive party people. Even Grandpa Bud was on the floor dancing to Boot Scootin' Boogie and Low! The cake was cut to "Lucky" by Jason Mraz, and Danielle presented her bouquet to Bud and his wife for the longest married couple, (59 years), instead of the garter/bouquet ceremony. We ended the evening with a classic from Eddie Money, "Take Me Home Tonight" and everyone rallied around Danielle and Michael one last time. Thank you to the staff at the Diplomat for making my evening a pleasant experience once again, and congrats to Danielle and Michael, I enjoyed playing for you, your family, and friends!......DJ/MC Eddie B! http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-14/Wedding_and_Reception_at_the_Diplomat_Resort_and_Spa.aspx eddieb http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-14/Wedding_and_Reception_at_the_Diplomat_Resort_and_Spa.aspx 2d3f9e47-fad8-4bd8-8867-a02d91d80387 Mon, 14 May 2012 16:16:45 GMT Corporate Event at the Hawks Cay Resort / Florida Keys The beautiful Hawks Cay Resort was the setting for Engineering Contractors Association 28th Annual Fishing Fundraiser on Saturday May 12. There were almost 300 people in attendance. The event started with a cocktail hour in the lobby of which I provided an array of island music. Then everyone moved into the ballroom for dinner, awards and recognition of vendors. There were raffles for many wonderful prizes and many tickets were sold for the fundraising. I enjoyed playing a variety of music and effects which complemented the festivities. Many people danced and partied afterwards to a mixture of dance and Rock music. Special thanks to Rochelle Rinker Koch for her amazing organization and co-ordination of the event. A good time was had by all! I want to congratulate the brand new Kyle and Maria Sax for there wonderful wedding on Saturday 5/12/12!!! We had the wedding and reception at the beautiful Europa By The Sea a very lovely condo building with the best back yard of all times....the Atlantic Ocean! They had there wedding on the beach. It was a beautiful setting for a lovely event. The Rabbi married Maria and Kyle with a back drop of the natural elegance of the Atlantic Ocean. The ceremony was very emotional as the two exchanged there vows  in preparation for spending there lives together. Lila the cutest flower girl on the planet was very well behaved as the bridal party took there respective spots. She did great considering she was still a baby! After the ceremony the guest's made there way to a room adjacent to the dinning room for the cocktail hour. They had a violinist playing from the moment the ceremony began until just before we did the announcement of the Bridal Party. It created a very romantic atmosphere to the party and she did a fantastic job. After the cocktail hour we did the announcement of the Bridal Party. They danced in too Don't call me maybe and took there spots on the dance floor! Next it was time for the Bride and Groom's turn...Led Zepplin's classic hit...Kashmir! We paused for a moment so the videographer and photographer could take some pics and footage of this monumental event. The Bride and Groom also danced there first dance too... Maybe I'm amazed by Paul McCartney. We asked the Bride to stay on the dance floor and invited her Father to dance with her as well. They chose Anrea Bocelli and Marta Sanchez's Vivo Por Ella! After the Father/Daughter dance, we invited the groom to dance with his mother. They danced to Elton John's Blessed. When the dance was over it was time for the toast. The best man Brent Sax and the Maid of honor Nicole Melly expressed there gratitude to the bride and groom with very kind thoughts and memories about special times they shared through out there lives. After the toast the salads were brought out and the dinner began. They served up a really great meal of Salad, Chicken, with all the fresh vegetables and rolls to die for. Shortly after dinner we did the cutting of the cake to Calvin Harris's Close to you! A very good choice it is a fun upbeat record. Next we did the removal of the garter Divinyls's I touch myself,  the groom did a great job of removing the garter with out the use of his hands! Next we tossed the bouquet to Kehsa who are who we are. The single ladies were lined up and eager to catch the bouquet. The by Maria toss was flawless. A good clean catch and the single ladies had a great time. Next Kyle decided to do a football style toss to the bachelors. Once again a flawless catch. I think using the football was brilliant. Getting single guts to catch a garter is almost impossible...however getting them to catch a football is a national pass time!!! After the formalities were over it was time to dance, eat dessert, and just enjoy the event as a whole. It was a very beautiful event and I was pleased to be a part of it! To Maria and Kyle...have a long prosperous life... thank you for being such a wonderful couple!!! Peace out!!!   Thanks, DJ Keith Kilpatrick http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-14/Wedding_Reception_at_Europa_by_the_Sea_Condominium.aspx eddieb http://www.eddieb.com/blog/12-05-14/Wedding_Reception_at_Europa_by_the_Sea_Condominium.aspx 9a6e7ab3-f5b4-42c1-b7be-c4c80af4a1b5 Mon, 14 May 2012 15:55:45 GMT Wedding and Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht The wedding ceremony for two beautiful people, Robert & Cathy Clark, on Saturday May 12th, 2012.  Robert and Cathy exchanged their wedding vows aboard the Catalina Yacht on Saturday evening with their bridesmaids and groomsmen walking  to "For You I Will" by Monica. As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I played some special songs that the bride groom requested. Bryan Adams, George Strait and even 98 degrees. We then started the ceremony. Jennifer looked great! After the vows, the wedding party stayed outside to take pictures. It was a Beautiful day. Great pics!I invited everyone on to the patio for cocktails.
